OBSCENE: How’s the snowboard life been treating you? JEREMY: The snowboard life is fun. You’re on your own schedule and can do whatever you want. I love it, doing what I love for a living and making money at it.
OBSCENE: Tell us about last season. Did you do any contests or filming? Tell us about your winter. JEREMY: I didn’t do too many contests, just focused on filming with “Finga on Da Trigga”. I only did one contest last year, and I got first at that. The funny part is I wasn’t even planning on doing it, but I did it for my buddy. OBSCENE: Where do you ride? Where’s your local mountain? JEREMY: Squaw Valley up in Tahoe and Mammoth when I can. OBSCENE: I know you got a bag of tricks up your sleeve, which one’s your favorite? JEREMY: I would have to say a Backside Seven Japan. OBSCENE: What’s your preference on the mountain jumps, rails, powder and pipe? JEREMY: Actually, I quit hitting rails because this last winter, I broke my wrists and tore my quadriceps and my ACL, all on the same fall, so I was out pretty much all last year. I was on a powder trip and I wasn’t even supposed to be hitting rails. So I’m quitting all that and just sticking to powder and park jumps. My favorite thing to do is building jumps out in the back country. OBSCENE: When did you know snowboarding was what you wanted to do for a living? JEREMY: Well I started snowboarding at nine on a really small hill called Buckhill. Then my family moved to Mammoth Lakes when I was fourteen and I started snowboarding and hanging out with a bunch of professional snowboarders. When I was sixteen, I started to get into it really serious. OBSCENE: So what are you, regular or goofy? JEREMY: I’m regular, but I can ride both. OBSCENE: What’s your stance specs? JEREMY: It’s all a little different. For powder, I’m fifteen degrees in front and twelve in back. Actually, I just do whatever feels good, I just throw my bindings on my board and hit the mountain. OBSCENE: So during the winter, how many days a week do you ride? JEREMY: As much as I can. The only time I’m not riding is when I’m traveling to another location to film. OBSCENE: Are you working on any films this year? JEREMY: Yah this year I have a part in “MFM and Friends”. They’re not going to do the “Finga on Da Trigga’s” production video any more so my main focus is the “MFM and Friends” video. I’m going to try to do a couple contests like Grand Prix’s. but I’m not too worried about the contest scene at the moment. OBSCENE: Would you like to give a shout out to your sponsors? JEREMY: Actually, it’s kind of hard right now with sponsors, I’m going through a whole transition, so right now I just want to give a shout out to Technine, Rosignol and Vans. The goggle and shop sponsors are still up in the air at this time. |
