Dub Car Show
dub-car-show-1For a change of pace “ DUB” chose the Angel’s Stadium in Anaheim, Ca. for the site of the next Mega Auto show and concert. Although there were a bit of rain halfway through, it didn’t chase away the nearly 28,000 or so in attendance. This crowd started lining up three hours ahead of time for their tickets. There were more than 1,100 show cars and trucks, and over 100 vendors . Everything from hydraulics to tires and rims, interiors to stereos anything you can think of  to pimp your ride. This has been called the largest auto show in recent history.

The famous “ Stars and Straps ” riders were there and fans saw J-Beats, Warren Jamez, and their crew doing some of the tightest tricks on two wheels. .There were models in almost every booth including Monster Energy drink’s lovely ladies giving out free samples. Pirelli showcased new tires as well as Asanti, Giovanni and many more competing for the new season’s consumers. The tribute to Lowriders was a fan favorite, and everyone got a chance to check out the unique highly customized creations up close and personal.

dub-car-show-3Don’t forget the super draw of the celebrity-owned  cars  and trucks  which are always a crowd pleaser. Nelly’s “DUB” edition 2011 Ford Mustang GTO 5.0  wide-body was on display. Snoop Dogg's beautiful wife Shante’ “ Boss Lady” Broadus, of Boss Lady Entertainment was there debuting her 2008  Limited Edition HEMI Dodge Challenger and 1985 Monte Carlo SS.  Snoop’s 1967 Pontiac Parisienne  his “Laker’s Ride”, and  1967 Cadillac Fleetwood with murals of his family on the hood and trunk, dubbed “Church” were there representin’ too.

The performances up on stage were off the hook. Jayrock, U-N-I, Nola Darling, California, Glasses, Nipsey Hussle, Iyaz, B.O.B, J. Cole, and the new sensation “New Boys” warmed up the crowd for the one known as “Game” to take over. After pumpin’ a few of his greatest hits, he spotted a fan no more that twelve in the crowd who knew everything word for word. He brought him up on stage and along with the others drapped the lil’ guy in gold chains, gave him a mic and stood back cutting the shorty loose. The crowd really liked that and I don’t think he will ever get over it. This may have even  cemented his future in the bizz with a rush that few other things can match. Something tells me we’ll see him again at another concert.

dub-car-show-5The whole day was outstanding not one fight, no gang face-off’s, police raids, during the 6 or 7 hours, which says a lot about the mentality of people when they want to behave themselves. That will help down the road when “DUB” wants to host another get-together. They gave L.A. and Orange County a run for their money as far as Auto shows.
